How it works

Enter the ratio as two numbers, then the total you want or the Part A you have. You get each part in fl oz, cups, gallons or ml and liters.
Example: a cleaner at 1:10 for a 32 fl oz spray bottle: 32 ÷ 11 = 2.9 fl oz of concentrate and 29.1 fl oz of water.
Have 4 fl oz of concentrate and a 1:16 label? Add 4 × 16 = 64 fl oz of water, 68 fl oz in all.

Frequently asked questions

What does a 1:10 ratio mean?

One part of A to ten parts of B, eleven parts in all. For 1 gallon (128 fl oz): 128 ÷ 11 = 11.6 fl oz of A and 116.4 fl oz of B.

How do I mix 4:1?

Four parts A to one part B. For 1 quart (32 fl oz): 32 × 4 ÷ 5 = 25.6 fl oz of A and 6.4 fl oz of B.

Is 1:10 the same as 10 %?

No. 1:10 is 1 part in 11, about 9.1 % of the mix. A 10 % mix is 1:9.
